Hello Everyone!

I'm so excited to introduce the newest addition to our family (and the reason why I haven't blogged since April!). Meet Wyatt, born on May 21. This amazing little guy has turned our lives completely upside down in so many ways...never before have I been so in awe, so worried, so in love and so confused at the same time. I'm sure you'll become familiar with his little face as he is very likely to make an appearance now and then :)

I am SO behind on blogging and have a ton of adorable sessions to share; while I catch myself up, please say hello to our little man!

So This Is Nesting?

Preparing for a baby is more fun than I ever realized it would be; I am having such a great time getting things ready for our little guy! Everything will certainly be changing in a few weeks and I couldn't be more excited for everything that's ahead :)

Some of my favorite things, so far, about our world right now:

His very first toy, from Auntie Amy. She gave me this the week we found out...it felt very surreal, to say the least!

 The first indicator that our extra bedroom is no longer for us to store Ernie's extra clothes and my arts & crafts stuff. Thanks, Grandpa, for all of your hard work in putting this together for us!

The start of his wardrobe. You can probably guess who bought him the shirt on the left :). He can wear the one on the right when he goes to UCLA games with Auntie Susan and I!

Just some of the MANY adorable things from Grandma Sacco. I still can't believe how small those booties are!!

 

And last, but certainly not least, our furry little boy. Uno is preparing for baby in his own way - making sure he has PLENTY of one-on-one time with us, taking naps on my belly and of course, making sure that he can check out all toys and movies for potentially violent scenes beforehand :)

Moving Day

It was a monumental weekend in West LA; this past Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, my fiance and I moved in together! There's so much to love about this new place: a parking spot that doesn't take me 20 minutes to get into, a kitchen that you can actually cook in and a neighborhood with tons of new restaurants to try. 

In addition, there are the little things that make our new place so amazing:

 

 While I ponder whether or not it's appropriate to put the entire set of Le Creuset on our registry, this adorable little pot will do!  I'm not sure what it will hold yet...splenda maybe?

 Our new bedspread. After looking around for months, we found one that we both liked. How could you walk into a room with this much color and not be happy?

 One of the reasons we chose this apartment was the huge enclosed patio. We thought it would be great for the dog, for grilling and for enjoying a glass of wine after work. Someday - not sure when - these pots will be filled with something beautiful!

 Our main toothbrushes - not backups or ones we got for free from the dentist - in a spot, together :)

 I'm not even sure what this is called, but it's amazing. I didn't realize that knife blocks could even be annoying; after I began using this, I realized that I've been annoyed for years! Thank you, Bed, Bath & Beyond for changing my life!

I knew that moving in with Ernie meant lots of things - waking up next to him every day, someone to watch tons of reality tv with and of course, a much cleaner apartment. What I didn't anticipate was the upgrade in electronics! Never have I owned a tv this big...I will never go back!

Time officially goes by WAY too fast :)

It's unbelievable to think that just four years ago, we sat on the edge of our seats in the hospital waiting room, eagerly anticipating the moment when we would find out that she had arrived. It was close to midnight when her dad held her up to the window for us to see. It was the first time I had ever seen a baby that new. She was incredibly perfect and I felt so honored to be there that day, her first on earth. That little tiny thing is a now a little woman and it has been so amazing to watch her grow. This weekend, we celebrated her fourth birthday with a day of friends and family, giant inflatable slides and tons of adorable cupcake-faces :)

Cute, cute and more cute

When we were in junior high, my best friend Amy and I would write elaborate stories about what our lives would be like when we were grown up. We would be old, but cool (probably around 30!),  live near the beach and have amazing wardrobes. We wouldn't work, of course; there would be no time for jobs with all of the brownie making and playdates we were planning! 

I've always wondered what playdates were like and this weekend, I had the privilege of getting a pretty good taste. Sunday was moving day for my brother and sister-in-law; rather than ask me to lift boxes, they asked if I would spend the day keeping my niece Caitlin occupied while they did the dirty work. I was more than happy to oblige :). We spent the afternoon with Amy and her son playing in his amazing room and watching as the two sat patiently at a tiny table and snacked on little bites of cheese. How cute was it? Words cannot even describe...
