Hello Everyone!

I'm so excited to introduce the newest addition to our family (and the reason why I haven't blogged since April!). Meet Wyatt, born on May 21. This amazing little guy has turned our lives completely upside down in so many ways...never before have I been so in awe, so worried, so in love and so confused at the same time. I'm sure you'll become familiar with his little face as he is very likely to make an appearance now and then :)

I am SO behind on blogging and have a ton of adorable sessions to share; while I catch myself up, please say hello to our little man!

It's Official...Spring Has Arrived!

Last week, I ventured out to Burbank for an afternoon session with two of my favorite little friends, Bree and Sean. I love any chance I get to shoot both kids as they both remind me so much of everything I remember my own childhood to be - fun, silly and so imaginative!

I remember being Bree's age and spending countless hours in the backyard, searching for my idea of perfectly shaped rocks - those that resembled hearts, unicorns and stars. Watching her so focused on finding her own little treasures was so amazing. If I were not so intent on capturing these adorable little moments of her, I would've gladly set down my camera for the afternoon to help her search!

Happy (early) Valentine's Day!

Have you ever seen someone so fun to look at that you find yourself unable to look away? This is the case with little Reese. I don't know if it's her eyes, her perfectly coordinated outfits & hair accessories or the fact that she looks SO much like her mom...something about her just makes me smile :). We spent some time on the campus of the famous University High School to commemorate Reese's 6th/7th month birthday.

PS: visit Reese's Hair Pieces for information on ordering adorable custom-made bows like hers!

Fall Family Photo Session: The Brennans

Susan is one of my best friends in the world. We met in Junior High and as the years have passed, have become closer and closer. It's been amazing to watch her beautiful family grow and I feel incredibly lucky to be able to witness it all firsthand. Enjoy these pictures of Susan, her husband John and their RIDICULOUSLY photogenic kids :)

Beckett: First Birthday Session

I have literally waited an entire year to take photos of little Beckett. That said, it made perfect sense that we were able to schedule our first session just short of his first birthday.

I had seen pictures of him here and there and was absolutely in awe of those eyes...I had to know if they were as amazing in person. As it turns out, they were even better :).  As it also turns out, this is one smart kid!  Before the shoot, I was introduced to the magic that is Your Baby Can Read.  While Beckett finished his lunch, his proud mommies looked on as he read the words directly from the YBCR cards. Did I mention that he is 11 months old?  Incredible.

Joyce and Shannon, you have one adorable (and very intelligent!)  kid on your hands :)

Baby Travis: Newborn Session

You may remember Jamie from her insanely adorable orange bikini. Yep, that beautiful belly glowing near the Malibu coastline was hers!  I was recently introduced to the newest member of the family, little Travis. He truly is a perfect baby; I am in love with his gorgeous eyes and little teeny toes!

Below are a few of my favorite shots from our newborn session. We should definitely warn Jamie now; she's going to have lots of girls calling her house one day :)

Cute, cute and more cute

When we were in junior high, my best friend Amy and I would write elaborate stories about what our lives would be like when we were grown up. We would be old, but cool (probably around 30!),  live near the beach and have amazing wardrobes. We wouldn't work, of course; there would be no time for jobs with all of the brownie making and playdates we were planning!

I've always wondered what playdates were like and this weekend, I had the privilege of getting a pretty good taste. Sunday was moving day for my brother and sister-in-law; rather than ask me to lift boxes, they asked if I would spend the day keeping my niece Caitlin occupied while they did the dirty work. I was more than happy to oblige :). We spent the afternoon with Amy and her son playing in his amazing room and watching as the two sat patiently at a tiny table and snacked on little bites of cheese. How cute was it? Words cannot even describe...
