A few weeks ago, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Natalie and her husband Sherwin to celebrate the upcoming birth of their first child. What a beautiful couple! The love they have for each other and for their baby-to-be was incredible. In addition, they live in one of the most beautiful high-rise condos I have ever stepped foot in - giant windows with views of the Hollywood Hills, a balcony that felt like it was hanging from the clouds and an amazing fuchsia accent wall - perfect for an afternoon photo session :)

Fall Family Photo Session: The Brennans
Susan is one of my best friends in the world. We met in Junior High and as the years have passed, have become closer and closer. It's been amazing to watch her beautiful family grow and I feel incredibly lucky to be able to witness it all firsthand. Enjoy these pictures of Susan, her husband John and their RIDICULOUSLY photogenic kids :)

The Corbett Family
Meet the Corbetts! Easily one of the most adorable families I've ever met, they were fun, full of energy and all smiles...in other words, a photographer's dream :) We spent a few hours together in beautiful Ventura, CA, starting at the beach (which was too foggy to shoot!) and eventually making our way up to a park on the hill. While the park normally has a great view of the ocean, it just happened to be surrounded by thick, cottony clouds on the day that we decided to visit.
Continue on for some of my favorite shots of the day; while doing so, please take a second to ponder whether or not you've ever seen such gorgeous kids!

Beckett: First Birthday Session
I have literally waited an entire year to take photos of little Beckett. That said, it made perfect sense that we were able to schedule our first session just short of his first birthday.
I had seen pictures of him here and there and was absolutely in awe of those eyes...I had to know if they were as amazing in person. As it turns out, they were even better :). As it also turns out, this is one smart kid! Before the shoot, I was introduced to the magic that is Your Baby Can Read. While Beckett finished his lunch, his proud mommies looked on as he read the words directly from the YBCR cards. Did I mention that he is 11 months old? Incredible.
Joyce and Shannon, you have one adorable (and very intelligent!) kid on your hands :)

Baby Travis: Newborn Session
You may remember Jamie from her insanely adorable orange bikini. Yep, that beautiful belly glowing near the Malibu coastline was hers! I was recently introduced to the newest member of the family, little Travis. He truly is a perfect baby; I am in love with his gorgeous eyes and little teeny toes!
Below are a few of my favorite shots from our newborn session. We should definitely warn Jamie now; she's going to have lots of girls calling her house one day :)

Moving Day
It was a monumental weekend in West LA; this past Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, my fiance and I moved in together! There's so much to love about this new place: a parking spot that doesn't take me 20 minutes to get into, a kitchen that you can actually cook in and a neighborhood with tons of new restaurants to try.
In addition, there are the little things that make our new place so amazing:
While I ponder whether or not it's appropriate to put the entire set of Le Creuset on our registry, this adorable little pot will do! I'm not sure what it will hold yet...splenda maybe?
Our new bedspread. After looking around for months, we found one that we both liked. How could you walk into a room with this much color and not be happy?
One of the reasons we chose this apartment was the huge enclosed patio. We thought it would be great for the dog, for grilling and for enjoying a glass of wine after work. Someday - not sure when - these pots will be filled with something beautiful!
Our main toothbrushes - not backups or ones we got for free from the dentist - in a spot, together :)
A better spot for my old cameras where they can actually be appreciated!
I'm not even sure what this is called, but it's amazing. I didn't realize that knife blocks could even be annoying; after I began using this, I realized that I've been annoyed for years! Thank you, Bed, Bath & Beyond for changing my life!
I knew that moving in with Ernie meant lots of things - waking up next to him every day, someone to watch tons of reality tv with and of course, a much cleaner apartment. What I didn't anticipate was the upgrade in electronics! Never have I owned a tv this big...I will never go back!

Time officially goes by WAY too fast :)
It's unbelievable to think that just four years ago, we sat on the edge of our seats in the hospital waiting room, eagerly anticipating the moment when we would find out that she had arrived. It was close to midnight when her dad held her up to the window for us to see. It was the first time I had ever seen a baby that new. She was incredibly perfect and I felt so honored to be there that day, her first on earth. That little tiny thing is a now a little woman and it has been so amazing to watch her grow. This weekend, we celebrated her fourth birthday with a day of friends and family, giant inflatable slides and tons of adorable cupcake-faces :)
Bree's friends in their sherbert-colored shirts...
She's the birthday girl, she makes the rules (who else would get to lick the centerpiece and put it back on top of the cake?!)
Happy Birthday Bree!!
